So this past week has been an interesting one, and lead me to begin thinking about starting a blog, and so I finally decided "Okay, let's try it out". I had a blog for in high school, but quickly forgot about it and then deleted it sometime in university. This time I am going to put effort to keeping updated of stuff happening my life.
This week, I got my second tattoo, and I am so happy about it. I designed it while in Guatemala doing my yoga teacher training. I got it done from a old friend from highschool who now works at a the Way Kool on Queen St. It represents my quest for discovering inner peace and constantly staying true to my inner being. I chose the Om symbol, and then six petals around will always have a changing meaning. The represent 6 values I have or working to have. Currently, they mean Trust, Discipline, Humour, Balance, Modesty and Acceptence. This lines coming out of the flower, represent the energy that I am admit. The tattoo is there to constantly remind me of who I am and how I am improving and working through myself.
The next day I find out the contract for the job I want has been posted. I am currently working the job right now (long story), but I have to apply to get the contract for it. The TDSB is a very beaucratic system, but doesnt make sense, but you have to follow it if you are/want to be in it. That put a downer on things cause there is a slight chance I might not get it, but obviously I should not worry about that, and just focus on the postive of the situation. So, I have been working on my resume and a cover letter all weekend as the application is due this Wednesday.
Then that evening, I went for an interview at Bellwood Centre for Addiction and Mental health to do some of my karma yoga classes there. I found out on the spot that I got the job, and start this coming wednesday. I am excited for that because I get to you yoga as part of these clients process to freedom from their addictions. I think it is going to be great experience for me, I will learn a lot about addiction and the people who have, as well as learn a lot about myself and my teaching ability.
I went to the Polish Festival today, Yvonne asked me to come after I texted her after a yoga class I had near her house. It was a lot of fun and full of a lot of polish people which was kool. At the end a bunch of us decided to get our palms read. It was an interesting read for 10 dollars on the side of the road. Made me think about a few things, and realize others. Then shortly after we got a these by the donation astrology readings. Also, a very interesting read from outside a Timothy'son the side of the road. Obviously understanding astrology made my reading a bit more interesting. I learnt that my rising sign is actually a Virgo and not Libra and I should be reading Virgo's daily horoscrope. . .so that is very interesting. A lot of other stuff came up as well and I defiantly took note of a few things. But as reality has it you can only take so much from these readings, and not muddle over things that are said or shared.
Looking back at this past week, it defiantly seems to be a stand out since I have been back from Guatemala. I add everything up among all the other little things, it make say okay, lots of things happening and I just have to accept and be present in the moment.
