More documentaries and tibetan fortune.

Yesterday I watched a documentary called Journey from Zamskar. Zamskar is a region in northern India, surrounded by the Himayalas. There exist an very old Tibetan Buddhist community cut off from the world in a remote region. The people there very little/no connetion with outside world, limited water and food because of what little grows. The film is about this monk Geshe Lobsang, who is orignally from Zamskar returning to bring 17 poor children to go to school in Manili and Dharamshala to become monks and nuns, a dream for many of the parents. It's about the tough voyage, orignally walking through mountains with -15 nights just to find the pass they need to go through to begin the decent down to the foothills was covered with too much snow, taken a week to get there and then walking all the way back. Thus, making new plans to get more money from the monastary to hire a jeep to the city of Leh and then get a bus to Manili. It was quite moving. I bought the DVD and will be more then willing to share with anyone who is interested.
I just saw a Lama, who gave a fortune reading. Was not a lot of information but when he answered the questions, it is suppose to be very accurate. He told me that Europe will be a very good place for me for my graduate studies and that mine and my family health will be good, but my papa's knee problem actually comes from his kidneys, so he is suppose to take herbal kidney medicine and it will go away. So that was very interesting. He told Kristina that South America will be better for her to live then Canada, which if you know her is where she wants to be.
