At Camp!

Wow, after not being back at Camp for a summer, and come back after my amazing trip to India has be quite the trip. It feels so good to be back and to be playing/leading campers for a week of crazy Day Camp. The schedule for day camp is quite jammed pack, from warm-up, to camp crafts, snack, program option, a crazy lunch in the tarp dome called the 'Fun'ch hall, then free time at the Sportsfield/Library, General Swim, another snack and finally a fun program game. It leaves you panting for air by the end of the day. But is so fun. I had the youngest boys, age 5-7 years old. What a cute bunch they were. One of my favorite things one of my campers said after falling on the ground during a game of ball hockey was (in tears) "I wish the ground was softer, its hard to fall on." Its indearing moments like that, that make me love worki ng with children. I also teach an enthusastic bunch of girls some yoga, an to my surprise they all wanted to have a meditation after the class which we did for a whole 10mins. The feel of meditatinh with kids age 5-12 was so great. That fact these girls already were intrested in meditating while they were at camp, makes me so happy. The seed of inner peace is growing in our youth and it's wonderful!
I can't believe my amazing 2 month vacation is coming to an end, work starts again on the 1st of September and then I have 3 1/2 months left at Forest Valley. Life just always takes you on incrediable journeys, I'm so appreciative of all of it!
